Step-by-step instructions

1

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place 1 package freeze-dried strawberries in a zip-top plastic bag. Crush with a rolling pin into a fine powder.

2

Combine ¾ cup yogurt, 2 tablespoons vanilla, 1 teaspoon lemon zest, ¼ teaspoon pepper, ¼ teaspoon cardamom and ⅛ teaspoon salt in a medium bowl; stir well. Add 3 cups quartered strawberries; stir to coat.

3

Using a fork, lift one strawberry quarter from the yogurt mixture, tapping off excess yogurt. Use a wooden pick to slide the strawberry onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining strawberries, spacing them apart. Sprinkle with the strawberry powder.

4

Freeze, uncovered, until firm, at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. Let stand at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving. Recipe developed by Marianne Williams
